What Happens during Pre-Production, Filming, and Editing?
A production has three connected stages. Decisions made before filming determine what the crew captures and what the editor can later deliver.

Pre-production
The team agrees the purpose, audience, outputs and scope. Locations, participants, access, questions and schedules are prepared. You should know what is being made and which decisions or materials the client must supply.
Filming
The crew captures planned scenes and responds to real conditions. A named client contact helps resolve access and factual questions. Changes to the brief should be discussed because extra scenes can affect time, costs and the finished package.
Post-production
Material is selected and shaped into the agreed work. Editing can include colour, sound, music, captions and versions. Review is the opportunity to identify corrections and agreed refinements; it cannot reliably replace a missing scene that was never filmed.
