Media usage
and licensing.

Plain answers to the questions that come up most often about who owns the pictures and what you can do with them.

Who owns the work

Creative Quest Agency owns the copyright in the photographs and films it creates, unless we have assigned that copyright to you in writing. This is the standard arrangement in commercial photography and film.

What you get instead

A licence to use the delivered work. Every project states the licence in three parts: the media you may use it in, the territory it covers, and how long it lasts. Most of our hospitality and tourism work is licensed broadly and indefinitely for the client's own marketing, because anything narrower is impractical for a property.

What a standard licence covers

  • Your own website, booking engine and email
  • Your own social channels
  • Your own print, brochures and signage
  • Listings and trade partners representing your property or brand

What needs a separate conversation

  • Reselling or sub-licensing the files to a third party
  • Use by a different brand in the same group
  • Paid advertising at national or broadcast scale, where a media buy is involved
  • Stock library distribution

Credit

We ask for a credit where a credit is normal — editorial use, social posts, press. We do not require it on your own booking pages or brochures.

People in the pictures

Where identifiable people appear, consent has to exist before publication. For staff and models this is arranged before the shoot. For guests, we do not photograph identifiable guests without their written agreement.

Editing and integrity

You may crop and resize delivered work to fit a layout. Please do not add filters, heavy recolouring or composites that change what the picture claims to show — for a property, that becomes a misrepresentation problem as well as an aesthetic one.

Third-party material on this site

Client and partner logos shown on this website remain the property of their owners and appear with permission. Interface icons come from Lucide (ISC) and Simple Icons (CC0). The Manrope typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
