Coverage and travel are separate questions
A day close to the studio and a remote multi-day assignment have different costs. Transfers, accommodation, meals and access may be included or itemized. Ask whether a travel day counts as a coverage day and whether the photographer travels in your vehicle. A low day rate can be misleading if essential logistics are missing.
Editing changes the scope
A selected gallery requires sorting, colour work and export. A film adds story selection, sound, music clearance and potentially subtitles or multiple versions. Ask how many finished photographs and films are included, what revision rounds cover and which extras require a revised quote. Do not compare an unedited file handover with a finished production.
Make the comparison useful
Give every supplier the same dates, itinerary and output list. Request a written breakdown of coverage, travel, post-production and usage.
