Understanding Photo and Film Deliverables Before You Book
Deliverables are the finished items you will receive. Precise wording helps you compare quotes and prevents a pleasant shoot ending with different expectations about the files.

Photographs
Agree the number of edited images, how selection works and what editing includes. Ask for files suited to your intended use: printing, a website and a phone gallery may need different sizes. A promise of 'all photos' can include duplicates and test frames unless the proposal defines the selection.
Films
List each edited film separately with an approximate duration and orientation. A landscape highlights film does not automatically include a vertical version or individual clips. Identify whether captions, interviews, subtitles, titles and licensed music are needed. Changes to those decisions after filming may require additional editing or missing coverage.
Delivery and use
Confirm the delivery method, download period and how long the provider expects to retain files. Discuss personal use, commercial publication and portfolio permission separately. Ask what happens if you request extra images or another edit later, and keep the agreed scope with your booking documents.
