Planning Landscape and Vertical Deliverables in One Shoot
Landscape and vertical video are different compositions. Planning both before filming is more reliable than assuming a wide frame can always be cropped later.

List the publication formats
Identify the website, presentation and social channels that need material. Check their current format requirements. Decide which scenes must work in both orientations and which can be made separately.
Allow composition time
People, signs and movement may need a different arrangement in a narrow frame. Text and captions also occupy space. A producer can plan alternative framing, but it still takes time and may affect the number of setups in a day.
Define each edit
Specify whether vertical delivery is a reframed copy or a separately paced film. Agree titles, subtitles, duration and review for each version. Include dedicated still photography if images are needed; video crops should not silently substitute for commissioned photographs.
