The cheapest quote and the best value quote are not always the same. A fair comparison starts by checking whether each provider has priced the same assignment.

Normalize the scope
Put coverage days, locations, party size, edited image quantities and films in a simple comparison table. Identify whether the photographer's travel, accommodation and access costs are included. Ask suppliers to clarify omissions instead of assuming an unlisted item is free.
Compare the work and process
Look at complete galleries relevant to your trip, including people, changing light and ordinary moments. Check who will attend and who edits the work. Review the approval process and how the provider handles schedule changes. Communication before booking is useful evidence of how the collaboration may work.
Read the commercial terms
Check payment stages, cancellation, rescheduling, usage and delivery arrangements. A larger gallery is not automatically better if the extra pictures repeat the same scene. Choose the proposal whose coverage and finished work match your priorities, then keep a copy of the final agreed version.
