Booking Photography for One Safari Day or Your Entire Trip
The right coverage length depends on how much of the journey you want documented. More days provide continuity, while a focused day can work well for a particular occasion.

When one day works
Choose a day with manageable travel and more than one opportunity for pictures. A camp stay with an evening portrait session may be easier to plan than a long transfer. Check how the photographer reaches you and leaves afterwards. Remote access can make a short assignment more expensive than its shooting hours suggest.
When several days add value
Longer coverage can connect arrivals, camp life, wildlife and the relationships within the group. It also allows the photographer to understand your pace. Ask which days genuinely add a different chapter; repeating similar sightings does not automatically make the finished story stronger.
Compare two clear proposals
Ask for a single-day scope and a longer option using the same output assumptions. Look at travel, accommodation and editing as well as the coverage fee. If you choose the short version, identify the most important outcome and accept that it cannot represent every part of the itinerary.
