Planning Food and Beverage Photography for a Lodge
Food coverage needs coordination between the kitchen, service team and photographer. Choose dishes that represent the menu and schedule them when they can be presented well.

Choose the menu priorities
List signature dishes, breakfast, drinks and any dining experience that matters to bookings. Avoid asking the kitchen to prepare the full menu at once. Decide whether the pictures show plated dishes, preparation, service or guests dining.
Build a kitchen schedule
Nominate a chef or service contact who can prepare dishes in sequence. Discuss tableware, linens, background and the location's light. Allow time for a fresh plate if a dish loses its appearance during setup. Keep food production separate from the busiest service period.
Plan where images will run
A menu, website banner and vertical social post may need different framing. Agree captions and dish names so the marketing team does not mislabel the food. Confirm consent for staff and guests included in service scenes.
