How to Brief a Videographer for a Hotel Brand Film

A hotel brand film needs a clear promise to a particular guest. Begin with the audience and booking experience, then choose the scenes that support it.

Write the central message

Describe the intended guest, the property's character and the action you want after viewing. A trade presentation, website introduction and social campaign need different emphasis. Show references with notes about pace, sound or atmosphere instead of requesting an imitation.

Choose an honest experience

Identify spaces, people and activities available during production. Staff participation, wardrobe and service scenes need scheduling. Avoid staging an amenity or experience that guests cannot actually book. Aerial footage should be discussed separately with its permission requirements.

List the versions

Agree a main film, cutdowns, aspect ratios, captions and languages. Identify who approves factual statements, branding and music. Keep one consolidated feedback owner so the editor receives a clear response at each review stage.
