How to Brief a Photographer for a New Safari Product
A new safari product needs photographs that show what is different about it. Give the photographer the itinerary and sales proposition, then identify the scenes that substantiate it.

Separate new from familiar
Highlight the route, accommodation, guiding approach or activity that distinguishes the product. Do not spend the whole assignment recreating material already in your library. Mark which claims require a specific image and which are better explained in text.
Check availability
Confirm the activity operates on the shoot date and that the relevant property, guide and vehicle are available. Identify seasonal or weather-dependent scenes. A marketing launch date does not make a particular wildlife encounter controllable.
Plan the sales package
List website, agent presentation, brochure and social needs. Agree captions and product names before export. Confirm whether partner businesses may receive the images and whether their use is covered in the licence.
