Count the full commitment
Preparation, travel, acclimatization arrangements and the expedition schedule can affect crew time. Discuss equipment carriage, power, accommodation and any operator requirements. Do not assume a production crew can be added as an ordinary passenger without further planning.
Price the outputs
A short recap, a documentary and a sponsor package need different editing. Interviews, subtitles, archive material and several versions add tasks after the climb. Ask for the scope of review and factual checks, especially if the film makes fundraising or organizational claims.
Compare feasible proposals
Use the same route and deliverable list for each provider. Identify exclusions, contingency arrangements and the effect of a shortened expedition. The cheapest proposal has little value if the staffing and logistics are not realistic for the assignment.
