How to Tell a Conservation Story through Photography and Film
A conservation story needs more than attractive wildlife images. It should explain the work, the people involved and the evidence behind its claims.

Choose one clear question
Define what the audience needs to understand: a particular habitat, monitoring activity or community relationship. Ask the organization which claims can be supported and which locations or species details should remain private. Sensitive information may not belong in a public film.
Show the process
Photograph or film real work where access permits, including methods, equipment and context. Interview people with direct knowledge. Avoid asking staff to stage actions that misrepresent normal practice. Captions should distinguish observed activity from a wider claim about results.
Build a factual review
Name the scientific or programme reviewer and agree how statements, numbers and translations are checked. Obtain participant consent and location approval. Keep a record of approved wording so a later social edit does not remove an important qualification.
