How Tides Affect the Timing of a Zanzibar Beach Photoshoot
The same beach can look very different at different tides. Plan for the appearance and access you want instead of choosing a time solely by the clock.

Use date-specific information
Ask the property or activity operator about the tide on your actual date. Water position, exposed shoreline and boat access can change the available scenes. A photograph taken at the same hour in another month is not a reliable reference for your session.
Combine tide and light
Discuss the beach's direction, the sun and the tide with the photographer. The best portrait light may not coincide with the water level in a reference image. Decide which matters most and identify an alternative framing that works under the expected conditions.
Respect access and conditions
Do not plan to walk onto unfamiliar exposed areas without local guidance. Footwear, movement and the available space need assessment on the day. Confirm who makes the location decision if conditions differ from the plan.
