What a production day actually looks like
A plain account of how a shoot day runs, so nothing about it is a surprise.
If you have not commissioned a production before, the day itself can feel opaque. Here is how ours run.
Before the day
A recce where possible, a shot list you have approved, a call sheet with times and locations, and a named contact on your side who can make decisions without a meeting.
The morning
We arrive before the light we want. First hour is setting up and shooting the exteriors and any room that needs early sun. This is usually the most productive block of the day.
The middle
Interiors, detail and food, which do not depend on the sun being in one place. If people are involved, this is where we schedule them, because everyone is awake and nothing is running late yet.
The afternoon and evening
West-facing spaces, then the last hour before dark for the exteriors that only work then. Evening ambience if the brief needs it.
After
A first selection within a few days, your feedback, then the finished grade and edit. Delivery includes an archive copy and a written note of what you are licensed to do with the files.
