Choose access before the view
Ask a local property or location contact about permission, the direction of the view and whether the foreground suits portraits. A distant view can look impressive to the eye while appearing small in a photograph. Send reference images of the actual setting.
Allow a practical window
Discuss timing with the photographer and check the weather close to the session. Keep a sheltered or alternative background available. Do not promise a fixed mountain view to a proposal partner or family group when cloud may change the scene.
Prepare the foreground
People, light and a comfortable place to stand matter even when the peak is clear. Agree how long you are willing to wait and whether a second opportunity is possible. Additional coverage should be scoped explicitly rather than assumed.
